India announced their 15-member squad for the four T20I series against South Africa on Friday. While Suryakumar Yadav will continue to lead the side in the shortest format, there are a few changes in the composition of the squad that played the three T20Is against Bangladesh.
While Mayank Yadav and Shivam Dube were unavailable for selection owing to injuries, Riyan Parag is also out of contention, dealing with a long-term resolution of his chronic right shoulder injury, a statement from the Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) read.
Another notable absentee is Nitish Kumar Reddy, who has been called up to India’s Test squad for the tour of Australia later in November.
