IPL Auction 2025: Delhi batter Priyansh Arya had a breakout bidding at the IPL Mega Auction on Day 2 at the Abadi Al Johar Arena in Jeddah on Monday.
Starting from a base price of Rs 30 lakh, the left-handed Arya’s stocks jumped 10 times to Rs 3.8 crore as PBKS locked in on the 23-year-old, fending off challenges from Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
Arya had a sensational run at the Delhi Premier League in September, topping the batting charts with over 600 runs in only 10 games. He has only played 11 T20s thus far in his career.

On Saturday, Priyansh opened Delhi’s Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy campaign on November 23 with a 43-ball 102 against Uttar Pradesh at the Wankhede Stadium. Priyansh’s knock was laced with 10 sixes and five fours against an attack that comprised the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shivam Mavi, and Piyush Chawla.
Representing South Delhi Superstarz, Arya smacked six sixes in an over during a match against North Delhi Strikers in the Delhi Premier League 2024 as his team eventually made a record score of 308/5 in 20 overs.
Arya was also Delhi’s highest run-getter in the 2023-24 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy last year, aggregating 222 runs in seven innings at a 166.91 strike rate. While he was part of the IPL auction, Arya did not find any takers then.
