The flood situation in Nepal has deteriorated. Hundreds of people have been injured in Nepal due to the floods, while more than 200 have lost their lives. Due to the heavy rain, many Shiva devotees from Madhya Pradesh, who had gone to Nepal to seek the blessings of Lord Pashupatinath, found themselves stranded as major roads were either washed away or were blocked by landslides. When the pilgrims informed the government about this through a video, the government swung into action.
The Indian government contacted the Nepal authorities, who sent Army personnel to rescue the stranded people. All the pilgrims are now en route to Madhya Pradesh by road. After being rescued from Nepal, the pilgrims thanked the government. A video of the pilgrims has also gone viral.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said Indians stranded anywhere due to natural calamity or any adverse event will always be cared for and rescued at the earliest. In an X post, he said: “All our brothers and sisters from Madhya Pradesh who were trapped in the landslide area in Nepal have been rescued safely. It is a matter of great satisfaction and joy for us that all the passengers are safe.”
