Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a significant visit to Gujarat today, September 16. During his trip, he will unveil a development package worth ₹8000 crore for the state. Additionally, PM Modi will flag off India’s first Vande Metro train, which will run between Bhuj and Ahmedabad. In Gandhinagar, PM Modi will inaugurate the fourth edition of the Reinvest 2024 conference, which will see participation from representatives of various countries. The conference will focus on green hydrogen and future energy solutions. The Prime Minister will also launch the second phase of the metro rail service connecting Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, and he will experience a ride on the new metro train. Moreover, he will flag off several new Vande Bharat trains on routes including Kolhapur-Pune, Pune-Hubli, Nagpur-Secunderabad, Agra Cantt to Varanasi, and Durg to Visakhapatnam. The first 20-coach Vande Bharat train will run between Varanasi and Delhi. Western Railway officials have announced that the Ahmedabad-Bhuj Vande Metro will stop at 9 stations and travel at a speed of 110 kilometers per hour, covering the 360-kilometer distance in 5 hours and 45 minutes. The train will depart from Bhuj at 5:05 AM and arrive at Ahmedabad Junction by 10:50 AM. In addition to these initiatives, PM Modi will inaugurate the Kutch Lignite Thermal Power Station, a 30-megawatt solar system, 220-kilovolt substations in Morbi and Rajkot, and a 35-megawatt BES solar PV project in Kutch. He will also approve over 30,000 homes under the PMAY-Gramin scheme and release the first installment for these homes. PM Modi will also interact with beneficiaries of the PM Surya home electricity scheme in Gandhinagar.
