South Africa vs New Zealand Live Score, Women’s T20 World Cup Final: Kerr, Devine keep scoreboard ticking; NZ 70/2 after 10 ovs

South Africa vs New Zealand Live Score, Women’s T20 World Cup Final Match Today: A new World Champion will be crowned tonight Laura Wolvaardt’s South Africa and Sophie Devine’s New Zealand will vie for their maiden title as they meet in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 final in Dubai on Sunday. Wolvaardt won the toss and opted to bowl first (while Devine wanted to bat first anyway). Both teams named unchanged XIs from the semifinals.

New Zealand XI: Suzie Bates, Georgia Plimmer, Amelia Kerr, Sophie Devine(c), Brooke Halliday, Maddy Green, Isabella Gaze(w), Rosemary Mair, Lea Tahuhu, Eden Carson, Fran Jonas

South Africa XI: Laura Wolvaardt(c), Tazmin Brits, Anneke Bosch, Chloe Tryon, Marizanne Kapp, Sune Luus, Nadine de Klerk, Annerie Dercksen, Sinalo Jafta(w), Nonkululeko Mlaba, Ayabonga Khaka

South Africa have been on a sensational spree, knocking defending champs Australia out in the semi-final to make it to a second final in succession. Meanwhile, the White Ferns scraped past the West Indies with an eight-run win in the semifinal as Devine called up her long-time teammate Suzie Bates to defend 14 runs in the last over after Eden Carson and Amelia Kerr did the damage with the ball earlier.

The run to their first final in 14 years is special for New Zealand, particularly because Devine and Co. had lost 10 T20Is in succession before this tournament. As for South Africa, a shot at redemption for their final defeat last year has come in quick time and they would want to make the most of this second chance in Dubai.
