Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 Points Table: Australia crush NZ, leave India alive in NRR race | Cricket News

ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 Points Table: The ninth edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup is underway in the UAE and the competition is stiff as teams strive to make the semifinals.

Australia crushed New Zealand by 60 runs on Tuesday, winning their second match of the tournament. Australia are currently in the top spot in group A, with Pakistan, New Zealand and India level on points and separated by NRR.

Harmanpreet Kaur’s side suffered a huge blow to its campaign by losing to New Zealand in its opening match, but quickly recovered by coming out victorious against Pakistan in the second match. India is set to play their third match of the tournament against Sri Lanka, who are yet to win their first match, on Wednesday at 7:30 PM IST

Group B has completed 5 matches, with England leading the table tall with 4 points in the bag. The hosts, Bangladesh, have dropped to fourth place after losing to England, while the 2016 T20 women’s World Cup champions, the West Indies, are placed second, followed by the South African in third and Scotland in fifth.

Scotland faces South Africa for the first time in this format, on Wednesday at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
