Mumbai Indians Probable XI for IPL 2025 after Auction: Boult, Chahar, Bumrah make up for a solid bowling unit

IPL Auction 2025: After spending a total of 39.55 crore on 18 players at the IPL 2025 Mega Auction, the Mumbai Indians (MI) have, with their retentions and buys, built a potential title winning squad. Locking horns with a lot of other teams in fierce competition, MI roped in players like Deepak Chahar, Will Jacks, and the one making the headlines for the team, Trent Boult.

Reuniting with his former franchise, Boult was the most expensive buy for Mumbai Indians, going for a whopping Rs. 12.5 crore, followed by pace-bowling all-rounder Deepak Chahar, who was bought for Rs. 9.25 crore. Grouped with Jasprit Bumrah, the trio make up for a solid bowling unit that would trouble the batsman under the lights at the Wankhede Stadium.

MI had managed to secure their star quintet in captain Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma for Rs 75 crore before the auction in Saudi Arabia.

The probable XI of the team makes up for a good balance of batters and bowlers, those who have a knack of picking up early wickets, providing breakthroughs and scoring heaps of runs up front.

MI Probable XI for IPL 2025: Rohit Sharma, Will Jacks, Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Robin Minz (wk), Naman Dhir/Deepak Chahar, Mitchell Santner, Allah Ghazanfar, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah.
